
Ethical issues
In order to enhance the quality of our research, we ensured issues regarding; informing participants and their legal guardians about the subject and the methodology of the research, initial and ongoing consent, keeping participants and their legal guardians informed about data derived from the research. The research protocol conforms to the ethical guidelines of:
- The European Union and is approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of the University of Crete (555/17.10.2018).
- The Greek Ministry of Education (Ö15/192872/210954/Ä1).
Moreover, permissions were acquired by parents and teachers prior to the research interventions. Ethical considerations and guidelines concerning the privacy of individuals were carefully taken into account throughout the whole research process:
- The research interventions were not audio-taped or video-taped.
- PhysGramming's log files do not keep track of user's personal data.
- While interviewing students, their personal data were not recorded.
