Future research
Children's enthusiastic acceptance of the approach and the satisfaction of the goals set are encouraging indications that the proposed approach could be integrated into the classroom bringing the desired educational results. They could also be the basis of a more extensive investigation of the relevant field.
Thoughts for future research include investigating the value of combining unplugged and programming methods to meet the common goal of enhancing computational thinking in early childhood education.
Additionally, the approach is designed to cultivate computational thinking within the context of the study of the environment. Nevertheless, we have legitimate reasons to believe that it could be applied in other disciplines too, e.g., mathematics, language, arts, etc. Our intention is to examine this hypothesis by conducting a relevant research.
